Since 1988 the design of the only patented, three-wheel hydrostatic tug in the industry has been refined and improved, making the Hydra-Tug the choice of some of America’s leading Fortune 500 companies.

HYDRA-TUG™ POWER
The source of the Hydra-Tug’s tremendous power lies in its hydrostatic system and its weight distribution. The hydrostatic drive system is
powered by a four cylinder gasoline, LPG or diesel engine. The hydraulic motors on the front drive wheels are coupled with specially designed gear reducers to produce more power per engine horsepower than
conventional tugs. Operators work with confidence, knowing that this sleekly designed and stoutly built tug is one powerful machine.

HYDRA-TUG™ MANEUVERABILITY
A unique dual path hydrostatic drive system and three-wheel design
allows a zero turning radius. The Hydra-Tug can literally pivot around
the drawbar and change the direction of the vehicle or cargo in tow
without either being in motion. To do this with a conventional tug, the
operator would have to unhitch, manually move the vehicle or cargo
to the desired position, then re-attach. The zero turning radius saves
the operator time and effort, improves productivity, and facilitates
precise movement of the vehicle or cargo in tow.

HYDRA-TUG™ VISIBILITY
The operator sits in a raised, up-front position, with the engine in the rear, not in any way obstructing the working area. Unlike the operator of a conventional tug, the operator of a Hydra-Tug can see the hitch, the drawbar, and the vehicle or cargo in tow to make sure there are no problems.

HYDRA-TUG™ RELIABILITY
The Hydra-Tug’s enviable maintenance record means reliable service at little cost. There are fewer components to go wrong in a hydrostatic system. It only takes seven basic components to power, steer, and brake this tug, resulting in fewer occurrences of component failure. A conventional tug has many parts, all vulnerable to wear and replacement. With quality routine maintenance, you can count on the Hydra-Tug to be there when you need it.
